Description
“All He Ever Did Was Hide” was created in 2022, it depicts a raven attempting to escape its fate of becoming “one of the flock”. The raven flies towards a point of light, representing hope, but dulled by the loss of its own importance, because without individuality, hope and dreams fade.
If the viewer chooses to peer behind the curtains, they’ll find the rest of the flock, circling an apple tree, their food source, which has been set ablaze, yet the ravens do nothing to save the tree.
“All He Ever Did Was Hide” is a mixed media painting featuring acrylic paint, tar, mica powder, resin and hand stitched linen on wood panel. 36″ x 36″.
Featured at the Lancaster Museum of Art in 2023.
